Precious Singo is a 2021 candidate for New Albany School Board. She's asking for your vote on November 2, 2021.
Precious is a professional fixer. Literally.
She is an expert in Customer Experience (CX) and User Experience (UX) Design. What does this mean? It means that she spends her day asking the right questions to get to the core of what people need from an interaction. She asks, probes, listens, and analyzes interactions from every angle. This results in fixing the problem...not just the symptoms.
She will do exactly this for our students, parents, educators, staff, and administrators -- creating solutions for our diverse community and it's unique set of opportunities.
As a biracial Black woman who grew up in a single-parent house in the inner city, a mother of a LGBTQ+ youth, and a believer in change at the local level, Precious Singo is uniquely positioned to bring diverse ideas to our School Board and our schools.
Why Your Vote Counts
Election Day is November 2, 2021
The biggest things that affect your day-to-day life happen at the local level.
What happens to the empty lot behind your subdivision, how your taxes are allocated, what your local school looks like; these issues are all decided by people who live in your community.
Most people don't participate in their local elections. In the New Albany (NAPLS) district, only ~15% of registered voters voted in the 2019 local election, while ~80% voted in the 2020 presidential election.
It's time that we changed that. It's time that we choose who makes decisions for our schools instead of just defaulting to the people who happen to be running.
Your voice matters. The students matter. Our community matters. Make a plan to vote in our local elections.
